It was a great stay. The only complaint I have is that the lighting in the room and bathroom should be brighter.

Our experience at your amazing hotel was absolutely magnificent! The staff was so helpful, friendly and courteous! Larry was by far the Superstar of the staff for us. He was our bartender; he managed the incredible daily breakfast area with complete confidence and friendliness. On our early departure day, he had 2 cappuccinos to-go along with breakfast sandwiches and croissants. We took a picture with him so we wouldn't forget him. Marco at the front desk was also very instrumental in arranging our water taxi to Murano & Burano, as well as our private taxi to the airport. But our hotel room was also an amazing and comfortable place to lay our heads to rest at night. It was also just cool to hang in our room with the 2 balconies in the living area and bathroom. The bathroom was so opulent, beautifully tiled with all the necessary and creature comfort one could ask for. The lobby and overall decor were all quite lovely. The bar was small but stocked with very good premium spirits. Larry made us drinks every night before dinner and provided great little bar snacks along with it. I've been many places and hotels, and the money we paid for this incredible experience was absolutely worth every penny! Thank you to the Hotel America Dinesen staff for this once in a lifetime experience! PS - You have to eat dinner at the lovely Trattoria ai Cugnai just a few hundred feet away from the hotel. Trust me, you won't regret it!

We’ll recommend your well located lovely gem of a hotel . But , you must tell guests who stay at the Hotel off season the AC is off for the winter + the only source of air will be unscreened windows .

Excellent location, extremely helpful staff, great breakfast! Especially the front desk staff and Larry, who seems to do everything. We loved staying in Room 201 for the canal view and balcony.
The only suggestion is that you in the bedside tables. An extra shelf or drawer would make a big difference.

Staff were very friendly and helpful;, location was great (close to attractions, shops and restaurants but away from the main crowds); room was perfect and breakfast was delicious!

Excellent. One minor detail - the soap container in the shower (Room 401) would not open no matter how I turned the spout. But I prefer bar soap anyway so it wasn't a problem - you should fix it for future guests though. Also, I would have liked to have a less expensive, lighter breakfast option (e.g., croissant and coffee). I did not eat breakfast at the hotel because it was too expensive and I only wanted a small amount of food.

We loved Hotel American Dinesen. Perfect way to arrive by boat at their own little dock so that e did not have to carry our luggage through the streets. Comfortable rooms, easy to check in and out and awesome location. Quiet and less touristy than closer to San Marco
